Today, instead of my usual post, I am referring you to an interview I came across the other day which I found to be very, very, VERY interesting. It is a podcast from Open Forum Infectious Diseases entitled “The Overuse of Antibiotics and Modern Plagues.” Dr Paul Sax interviews Dr Martin Blaser and they talk about how using antibiotics in excess can be linked to a host of diseases plaguing humans today – from obesity and allergic diseases, to certain cancers.
